I created a kitchen immunity talk which highlights something important I thought everyone should know! Our immune system is directly impacted by our emotions.
Did you know…?
– Studies towards the end of the 1970s revealed negative emotions suppress immune function.
– “Psychoneuroimmunology pertains to interactions between the emotional state, nervous system function, & the immune function.”
– “A 1977 study of bereaved spouses revealed a causal link between grief and a significant depression in immune function. Natural killer cell activity was significantly reduced.”
Our mood and attitude have a tremendous impact on the functioning of our immune system. When we are happy and optimistic our immune system functions better. When we are depressed our immune system tends to be depressed.
That is indeed great news! It definitely makes me want to experience positive emotions as often as possible. What about you?
For a stronger immune system & for optimal health and happiness I hope you can find something to be grateful for, to be happy and optimistic about.
